Automating Jira - MS Project Synchronisation

Question: How can I automate synchronisation between Jira and MS Project?

Answer: With Ceptah Bridge, there are a few ways to automate synchronisation between Jira and MS Project:

  • The command-line utility (mspjb.exe) can be used to run Ceptah Bridge from the command line, allowing for scheduled synchronisations without user interaction. For this method to work on a server, MS Project Desktop must be installed on that server as well.

  • The API provided by Ceptah Bridge allows starting Import and Synchronisation from VBA with previewing the changes in the UI or silently.

  • The Events feature allows executing VBA routines on different stages of the synchronisation process.
